F.A.Q.

For Our Visitors

When are your services?

ESUMC has two Sunday worship services, a traditional service at 8:30 a.m. and a contemporary service at 10:45 a.m. For more information, please visit our Church Services page!

What should I wear?

At ESUMC, you’ll find a wide variety of attire from jeans and t-shirts to business casual clothing. So don’t worry about your clothes, we invite you to wear whatever you feel comfortable wearing.

Where can I park?

ESUMC owns a portion of the parking surrounding the church building. The part we own is to the left side and back of the church. To the right, you’ll find unmarked spaces and metered and permit parking owned by the Borough.

We encourage all Sunday visitors to arrive early and park in non-permit spaces. Metered spaces are free every Sunday, but please be prepared with change for the meters Monday through Saturday until 5:00pm.

Which door should I use?

ESUMC is an older, brick building. And as such, it has a lot of external doors! Prior to the services, all exterior doors are typically unlocked. However, the doors may be locked after services begin to protect the safety of our children and congregation.

Where do I go when I get there?

Once you’re here, stop by our Welcome Center in the Oberholtzer Hall , the room adjacent to the sanctuary, to speak with someone from the Welcome Team. These trained volunteers will be happy to help answer questions about Worship, Sunday School, the church nursery and our amenities.

If I’m early, what should I expect?

Prior to both services, ESUMC’s Holy Grounds Café offers complimentary refreshments in the Fellowship Hall, which is located in the church building on the same level as the Sanctuary. We invite you and your family to make your way to the Fellowship Hall, find a treat, grab a seat and maybe make a few new acquaintances if you’re open to it!

(We are not currently operating Holy Grounds Cafe due to COVID-19 precautions for the health of our members and guests.)

What does ESUMC offer for children and youth?

Glad you asked.  ESUMC has many exciting programs for children and youth and also provides infant/toddler care and a preschool nursery class during services.  Please plan on arriving 10 minutes early to complete our sign-in for the Nursery and to get a Parent badge.  For more information, please visit our Church Services page.
