EMPTY BOWLS EVENT 2025

Empty Bowls is an international event that allows local potters and ceramic artisans to band together with their communities to fight hunger in the own backyards. Your local pottery artisans from Monroe and Northampton Counties have created and donated over one hundred unique hand crafted bowls to help fight hunger in our community. 100% of the revenue for the Empty Bowls Luncheon will go to support the Food Pantry and Soup Kitchen at East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church. The work they do supports 300-400 people in our community every week.

What to expect:

-Luncheon served form 11:30am-3:00pm.

-Arrive and select you unique prewashed bowl.

-Enjoy a lunch of soup, sandwich, beverage and desert eaten from you new bowl.

-Entertainment will consist of a blind folded pottery making competition by your local potters. (always good for a laugh)

-When you have finished your lunch we will wash your bowl for you to take home with you.

-All bowls are microwave, dishwasher and food safe.

-Before or after your lunch stop by the Pottery Craft Show in Oberholtzer Hall the next door to the Empty Bowls event. Potters that have donated to the Empty Bowls will have display tables set for your shopping pleasure.
