The goal of our Mission Team is to support individuals and organizations who are motivated by the love of God to share the gospel.
We do this by:
- providing mission service opportunities to members of ESUMC
- encouraging our congregation in missions giving, and prayerfully selecting partners to support with mission funds
- communicating related activities to the congregation

Mission Partners
FMI – forgotten Missionaries International
FMI supports pastors, evangelists and congregations in Muslim countries who share the gospel by supplying Bibles, planting churches, buying motorcycles, opening literacy and sewing centers, and other means.
INTERVARSITY CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP
Intervarsity Christian Fellowship establishes Christian communities of students on college campuses. ESUMC supports Ryan and Jasmin Moyer, IVCF leaders at Temple University. Ryan and Jasmin encourage students to be witnesses for Jesus Christ on and off the Temple campus. Students lead Bible studies and worship nights, enabling them to reach their full potential as Christian leaders.
THE PHILADELPHIA PROJECT (TPP)
The Philadelphia Project’s mission is to meet the needs of the Germantown community through free home repair, preschool and after-school childcare.
POCONO PLATEAU
Pocono Plateau, a year round Christian camp and retreat center in Cresco, PA is dedicated to making disciples for Jesus Christ. Campers experience the gospel through recreation, challenges and reflection.
PREGNANCY RESOURCE CENTER OF THE POCONOS (PRC)
The Pregnancy Resource Center of the Poconos is committed to honoring God, sharing the hope we have in Jesus Christ, and affirming the sanctity of every human life in the Pocono area by giving practical help and support to women and couples, those at risk for unplanned pregnancies, and those hurting from past abortions.
RIPE CREATIVES
The mission of Ripe Creatives is to share the good news of the gospel of Christ through creative expression, and to disciple, train and equip Christian artists to engage with the world around them. ESUMC supports Scott and Darlene Smith, who mainly serve in Philadelphia. Scott is a speaker, primarily to youth, and writes and speaks spoken word, while Darlene coordinates events.
YOUTH PROMISE KENYA
Through after-school programs and summer camps, Youth Promise Kenya desires to impact youth by focusing on digital literacy and on the Word of Truth, Jesus Christ.
SHORES OF GRACE – BRAZIL AND PHILADELPHIA
Shores of Grace fights against human trafficking and prostitution and helps people in at-risk situations. Team members take the gospel to those around them through relationships in street evangelism, discipleship, and protection for children and adolescents in their rescue home. Their vision is to see the restoration of individuals and families through God’s revolutionary love.

SPANISH HEALTH MINISTRY
The Mission of the Spanish Health Ministry is to respond to the physical needs of Spanish speaking high-risk pregnant women, and to assist families of disabled or medically fragile babies and children who live in the Southern Chester County area to develop a relationship with them to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
UMCOR GLOBAL HEALTH
Global Ministries is the International Mission, humanitarian relief and development organization of The United Methodist Church. It works with partners and churches in more than 115 countries to equip and transform people and places for God’s mission.
